The UCLA Library Cataloging & Metadata Center is the main cataloging center in the UCLA Library system. It is primarily responsible for cataloging and preparing annually more than 90,000 monographs, serials, audio-visual materials, computer files (including selected Internet resources), and government documents for the humanities, social sciences, and sciences. The Cataloging Center is organized into 7 sections: Authority/Database Maintenance, Continuing Resources Cataloging, Digital Resources Metadata, Monographic Cataloging, Copy Cataloging, Training and Documentation, and Physical Processing. The Center is a member of the Program for Cooperative Cataloging and contributes to BIBCO, CONSER, NACO, and SACO.
