49th Annual RBMS Preconference Registration

Registration for the 2008 RBMS Preconference has reached capacity, but it is possible to register to get your name on a wait list. All workshops and tours are fully booked. To be added to the wait list, please call 800-545-2433 and press option #5.

You may register online or by fax or mail for the ACRL 49th Annual RBMS Preconference. Registrations received after May 21, 2008 will be subject to a $50 late fee. Registration is limited to 300 participants due to space limitations.

  • ACRL Member: $235
  • Non-Members: $280
  • Full-time Student: $95

Before registering, please check the conference schedule. Plan to arrive early on Tuesday, June 24, to attend the Southern California chapter of the Antiquarian Booksellers Association, Booksellers' Showcase, to visit selected Los Angeles area institutions, or to attend a workshop.

The main conference program will run from Wednesday morning, June 25 through noon on Friday, June 27.

See below for information about the "buddy" program for newer and more experienced attendees.

Cancellation Policy
Refund requests must be submitted in writing prior to May 21, 2008, and are subject to a $50 cancellation fee. Refunds will be processed and mailed after July 16, 2008. In the unlikely event that the Preconference or any of its offerings are cancelled, ACRL disclaims responsibility for any charges assessed to registrants by airlines, travel agencies, or hotel/housing entities.

Buddy Program
To learn more about RBMS from a more experienced member, you are invited to request a conference "buddy" to guide you through the preconference experience. If you are a more experienced member, you are invited to become a "buddy." Prior to the conference, seasoned RBMS members who have volunteered for the program will contact those who have requested buddies to arrange a time to meet.
