Members of the 2001-2002 LAUC Statewide Research and Professional Development Committee:

The committee met twice in 2002, in a five-hour meeting at UCLA College Library and in a long conference call, to review Statewide Research Grant Proposals and to choose the final proposals to send to the Office of the President (UCOP). The committee received 9 proposals this year, 5 of these from UCLA. Since over $80,000 was requested and the committee has a budget of only $30,000, the applicants were asked to revise their budgets. Final proposals were sent recently to UCOP for approval, in the hope that the winning applicants can be announced at the Statewide Spring Assembly.

Updated documents were sent out on the LAUC Webpage by the Statewide R&PD Chair, and the committee will continue work by email and conference call, choosing information to be added to aid those planning proposals in the future.
