Tour of the Chicano Studies Research Center Library

The LAUC-LA Program Committee is pleased to announce the next tour in our

continuing series "UCLA's Information Gold":

A tour of the Chicano Studies Research Center Library

The UCLA Chicano Studies Research Center (CSRC) was established at UCLA in 1969, one of the first such centers in the nation. For thirty-five years it has been at the forefront of advancing understanding of the essential contributions of Latinos to U.S. history, thought, and culture. The Library was established to support the development of scholarship, teaching, and research in Chicano Studies at UCLA. The library serves the field worldwide through a variety of information resources: print materials, digital resources, and archival holdings, as well as through reference and bibliographic instruction.

Join Yolanda Retter Vargas on Wednesday, June 16th, noon to 1:00 p.m., at the Chicano Studies Research Center Library, 144 Haines Hall, for an introduction to the library's collections and services.

RSVP to Lise Snyder, lsnyder@library.ucla.edu
