"The UCLA Academic Calendar Revision Proposal: Should LAUC-LA Be Concerned?

On February 26, 2003 a Lunch With LAUC-LA, sponsored by the LAUC-LA Library Plans & Policies Committee, was held to discuss the proposal to revise the UCLA Academic Calendar from a quarter to semester system, and the impact such a revision would have on the Library. The lunch followed a meeting of the committee members and discussions among Executive Board members.

Based on information gathered at the lunch and meetings, the committee compiled a report entitled, "The UCLA Academic Calendar Revision: Issues Concerning LAUC-LA," to address the issues, suggestions, and other matters of interest that relate to LAUC-LA members regarding the possible revision of the UCLA Academic Calendar from quarters to semesters. The report was submitted to Janice Koyama, Acting University Librarian, to help provide feedback to the Chancellor on the impact of the proposed calendar revision on the Library.
