This Web site provides access to a selection of 132 images of maps, plans, and other documents from the Orsini Family Papers at UCLA. These documents have been scanned at high resolution and can be magnified by the user in order to examine precise textual and graphic details in the original.
To begin, select an item from one of the two dropdown menus to the left:
and then click the appropriate "View" button.
Once you have navigated to a single image, you will see a set of controls below that will enable you to zoom in (+); zoom out (-); and scan left, up, down, and right (arrows). After zooming, in you can also "drag" the image itself around using the mouse. Also, at the top left there is a thumbnail with a "drag-able" red box to indicate the relationship of the magnified portion to the whole.
