CAR

The Sheraton Society Hill is located at One Dock Street (2nd and Walnut Streets).

• From the south (and Philadelphia International Airport)
  Take Interstate 95 North to Exit 20 (Columbus Boulevard). Turn left at the traffic light onto Columbus. Turn left turn at the sixth light, for Dock Street. Turn right at the stop sign. The hotel is on the right-hand side.
  
  
• From the west
  Take Pennsylvania Turnpike to 76 East (Exit 326 - Valley Forge). Follow 76 East to 676 East (Exit 344 - Central Philadelphia). Continue on 676 East to Interstate 95 South. Take I-95 South to Penn's Landing (Exit 20). At the bottom of the ramp, turn left onto Columbus Boulevard. Follow to Dock Street and turn left. Continue to the dead end and turn right. The hotel is on the right-hand side.
  
  
• From the north
  Take Interstate 95 South to Exit 20 (Columbus Boulevard). At the bottom of the ramp, turn left onto Columbus Boulevard. Follow for 3 traffic lights to Dock Street and turn left. Continue to a dead end and turn right. The hotel will be on the right.
  
  
• From the east
  Take Ben Franklin Bridge from Camden, stay in the right lane. Take the first right off of bridge to Sixth Street then follow Sixth Street to Market Street and turn left. Follow Market to Second Street and turn right. Follow Second Street to Dock Street and the hotel is on the left.

PARKING

The Sheraton Society Hill has valet parking, which is the easiest and safest option. Cost: $29 - $32 per day. For the adventurous there are nearby parking facilities, not all of which have 24 hour attendants.

AIRPORT

Philadelphia International Airport is served by most major carriers; the principal one is US Air.

From the airport to the Sheraton Society Hill (5.3 miles):

• Taxis are available, approximate cost $26.00.
  
  
• Lady Liberty Shuttle departs the Airport every 10 to 15 minutes. No reservations are required for Airport arrivals. Upon arrival, proceed to the Ground Transportation Center (near Baggage Claim) and register with the counter attendant. Claim your baggage, then dial 27 from the Ground Transportation Counter phones. Counter employees will coordinate with you to get you to the van, which arrives in Zone 7. The current cost to Center City destinations is $10.
  
  To take the Lady Liberty Shuttle to the Airport, call 215-724-8888 to make a reservation in advance, for a pick-up time 2 to 2.5 hours before departure time for a domestic flight.

TRAIN

Amtrak serves 30th Street Station, which is 1.75 miles from the Sheraton Society Hill.

• Taxis from 30th Street Station to the Sheraton cost about $10.
  
  
• The Blue Line or Market-Frankford Line (aka the el, but it is underground at 30th Street). The el can be picked up on Market Street outside 30th Street Station. Cash fare is $2 (it never hurts to have the exact amount; buses require it); tokens are less expensive, $1.55, but require a minimum purchase of 2. Get on the east bound train and get off at 2nd Street. At Market and 2nd head south along 2nd; after it crosses Walnut in 2 blocks, 2nd is interrupted by the towers of Society Hill. Turn on Dock Street, which angles off to the left. The Blue Line goes through the University of Pennsylvania campus (to the west); 34th Street is the stop most central to campus.
